Reporting Allegations of Trademark Infringement
Edu Continent takes allegations of trademark infringement seriously. Edu Continent’s policy is to remove content from our platform that is reported and found to infringe a third-party trademark.
If you believe that an instructor has infringed a trademark owned by you or an organization you represent, you can send us a formal complaint via email support@educontinent.com (Please note that this form is in English only).
If you prefer, you can also send us a complaint by email or post, following the instructions in our Intellectual Property Policy.
In order for us to process your trademark claim, the written notice (“Notice of Trademark Removal”) must include the following:
Your complete contact information (your full name, mailing address and e-mail address or telephone number);
The relevant word, symbol, etc. for which you are claiming trademark rights.
The basis for your trademark rights claim, including the registration number, if any (such as national registration or community registration);
The country or jurisdiction in which you are claiming trademark rights;
The category of goods and/or services for which you are claiming rights;
The precise locations where your registered trademark can be found on the reported course URLs;
A description of how you believe this content infringes your trademark;
If you are not the right holder, a statement of your relationship with the right holder;
a statement that you believe that the use of the trademark in the manner complained of as described above is not authorized by the trademark owner, its agent or the law
A statement that the information in this notification is true and that “I declare that I am the owner of, or am authorized to act on behalf of, the owner of the trademark allegedly infringed, bearing in mind that perjury is punishable”
a statement that Edu Continent can forward my complaint, including my contact details, to the affected user; and
Your electronic signature (“/s/” followed by your full name, for example: “/s/ Jane Doe”) or your wet signature.
Please note that making a false or misleading claim of infringement may result in liability for you. Edu Continent reserves the right to seek damages from parties who submit a false or misleading notice of alleged trademark infringement.
Repeat Infringers:
Edu Continent reserves the right to terminate an instructor’s account at any time, including for posting content on the platform that violates the trademark rights of someone else.
