How Can I Report an EduContinent Course for Infringing My Copyright?

Edu Continent takes claims of copyright infringement seriously. We will respond to claims of copyright infringement in accordance with applicable law. If you believe that any materials accessible through www.educontinent.com (the “Website”) infringe your copyright, you may request that such materials be removed from (or access to) the Website by submitting a written notice via support@educontinent.com. (Please note that the form is only available in English.)

Pursuant to the Online Copyright Infringement Limitation of Liability Act of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) (“DMCA”), the written notice (“DMCA Notice”) must include substantially the following:

The physical or electronic signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive rights that are the subject of the alleged infringement.
A description of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed or, if multiple copyrighted works on a single online site are covered by a single notice, a list of such works on that site.
A description of the material that is claimed to be infringing or that is the subject of infringing activity and that must be removed or made inaccessible, and information reasonably sufficient for Edu Continent to locate that material (for example, the URL of the web page containing the material).

Information reasonably sufficient for Edu Continent to contact you, such as an address, telephone number and, if available, an e-mail address where we can reach you.
A statement that you do not believe in good faith that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed, knowing that perjury is punishable.
If you do not comply with all of the requirements of section 512(c)(3) of the DMCA, your DMCA Notice may not be valid.

You may be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) under section 512(f) of the DMCA if you falsely represent that material or activity on the Website infringes your copyright.

Counter-Notification Procedures:
If you believe that material you have posted on the Website has been disabled or access to it has been denied by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us (“Counter-Notification”) by sending written notice to support@educontinent.com. Pursuant to the DMCA, a Counter-Notice must include substantially the following:

Your name, address and telephone number.
A description of the material that was removed or disabled and where it was seen before it was removed or disabled.
A statement that, knowing that perjury is punishable by law, you have a good faith belief that the material in question was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or mistaken belief that it was material to be removed or disabled.
A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located, or where the legislative district of your address is outside the United States, a statement that you accept the laws of any legislative district in which Edu Continent is located and will accept service of process by the person giving the above notice or his or her agent.
Your physical or electronic signature.
The DMCA permits us to restore content that has been removed unless the party who posted the original DMCA Notice files a lawsuit against you within ten business days after receiving a copy of the Counter-Notice.
You may be liable for damages (including costs and attorneys’ fees) under section 512(f) of the DMCA if you falsely or misrepresent falsely that such material or activity on the Website was removed.

Repeat Infringers:
It is Edu Continent’s policy to disable and/or cancel the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
